A young CIA operative/trainee, Annie Walker, is sent into the field to work for the DPD (Domestic Protection Division). Auggie Anderson is a blind tech operative, and is Walker's guide in her new life in the CIA. Walker's cover story is that she works at the Smithsonian Museum. Fresh out of the farm, Annie Walker must adapt to the challenging life of a CIA operative under the guidance of her handler, Auggie. But soon she realizes her recruit might have to do with her last boyfriend rather than her talent. I am absolutely IN LOVE with Covert Affairs. It's one of those shows that you just can't take your eyes off of. This show has something for everyone. It has romance, action, explosions, and some of the most beautiful shoes a girl has ever seen. The character relationships are flawed and outstanding. Every actor carries their weight and really adds to the depth of the show. The ever-evolving relationship between Annie and Auggie always keeps you wanting more. It helps that neither of them is bad on the eyes. In fact, none of the actors are. The sets are gorgeous and the filming style is perfect. The one and only critique I have for this show is that it tends to lean the story more towards the day by day "villian of the week" plot and less towards the evolving relationships between characters. Season 3 showed that they are improving though. The balance is shifting. I can't wait to see what's in store in Season 4. I'll make this quick as a few seconds are all this series is worth. – Besides the fact the CIA does not and never has operated on US soil, this series is a bore. I won't bother with all the mistakes made, but for something that "bases" it's whole foundation on an agency you would think creators of it would take the time to learn what they are writing about? Why not just make it a fictional agency? <br/><br/>It seems stripped down in an attempt to please everyone across the board. Of course it is only TV and this is probably aimed at young girls maybe? However, even in that regard with such great "alpha females" such as Salt, Underworld,the old (and much more well written) Alias, even female viewers would find this lacking… Nothing grabs the viewer, nothing is memorable the next day.
